. My role as a teacher is to lead and direct the teaching process and to facilitate communications. I am committed to make teaching an inspirational and rewarding process. Teaching a theory is essential, but learning how to apply it is necessary. In my teaching, I highlight the relationship between theory and practice. I believe in the teaching philosophy of “learning by doing”. I also believe in interactive teaching. I work hard to inspire my students and have them involved in the classroom discussion.
Research is an integrated part of my teaching strategy. I will encourage my undergraduate and graduate students to be involved as individuals or as groups in a variety of research projects. Topics of research interests include groundwater, surface water, non-conventional approaches to determine aquifer parameters, river basin environment and water quality, groundwater artificial recharge, rainfall-runoff models, rainwater harvesting, and solar desalination.
