Bacteria that use quorum sensing constitutively produce and secrete certain signaling molecules(called autoinducers or pheromones) these bacteria also have a receptor that can specifically detect the signaling molecule (inducer) when the inducer binds to the receptors it activates transcription of certain gene including those for inducer synthesis the type of mechanism differ from organism to organism. Similarities are present depending on the characterization of the bacterium either gram positive or gram negative. so I study with my team working and pst gragate student the genes of QS and it is related with virulence factors and in the same way study all mutation and aberration lead to any change in phenotype . also study the treatment with drugs interfering with QS is useful or not. and study the molecular typing methods ,as well as attempt to design new methods to gene detection by investigation the expression of the desired gene
